The Ibn Jabal Arabic Foundation Course is designed for complete beginners with no prior exposure to the language.
In just five lessons, this course will acquaint students with Arabic phonetics, orthography and reading along with an overview of Arabic morphology and syntax. The first part of the course will explore Arabic phonetics with an emphasis on specific points of articulation for sounds idiosyncratic to the Arabic language.
The second part of the course will introduce the Arabic alphabet and how they are written in their initial, medial and final positions. The third part of the course will introduce simple grammatical structures, enabling students to identify subjects, objects, verbs, nouns, prepositions etc.
By the end of the course, students should be able to confidently read, write and pronounce Arabic words and sentences and identify basic grammatical structures. This course will be taught in the English medium.
